NY Catholic Bishop Questions Gov Cuomo’s Faith While Lady Gaga Questions Mike Pence’s Faith- Who is Right?

The Left would define Christianity on their terms. In other words, the world would like to live as they like and say that God is ok with that because He is love. But this flies in the face of scripture and well over 2000 year of traditional understanding, yet Lady Gaga (the great theologian) and Governor Andrew Cuomo have new and “improved” definitions of Christianity and morality.

Raw Transcript:

What does it mean to be a Christian and what is moral anymore? We’re going to hear from that great theologian, Lady Gaga as she questions the vice president of the United States Christianity, and we’ll also hear from a New York Catholic bishop who questions governor New York governor Como’s Catholicism in his faith along with a little sign that’s gone viral and the fact that Americans across the country are helping out those affected by the government. Shut down this end, our Bible verse of the day, I’m pastor Paul Holt, and this is the Bible factor. Alright, such great stories as I continue a dive into, well the decline of the United States of America. We are continuing to embrace such radical abortion laws in the state of New York with their controversial reproductive health act, with the state of New Mexico wanting to canonize or put into formal law the same sort of rights for women to kill their children all the way up to the point that they’re almost born.

In fact, I don’t really see the big deal in taking the life of a born child over an unborn child. If you’re headed that way, I, a friend of mine sent me this great little story, uh, probably one of those things that’s going viral and I thought I would share it with you, a worried woman went to her gynecologist and said, Dr I have a serious problem and desperately need your help. My baby’s not even one year old and I’m pregnant again and I don’t want kids so close together. So the doctor said, well, okay, what do you want me to do? She said, I want you to in my pregnancy. I’m counting on your help with this. Well, the doctor thought for a little and after some silence he said to the lady, I think I have a better solution for your problem. It’s less dangerous for you to.

She smiled thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request. Then it continued. You see, in order for you not to have to take care of two babies at the same time, let’s kill the one in your arms this way. You could rest some before the other one is born. If you’re gonna kill one of them. It doesn’t matter which one it is, right? There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms. The lady was horrified and said, no doctor, how terrible it’s a crime to kill a child. I agree. The doctor replied, but you seem to be okay with it. So I thought maybe that was the best. Dr Smiled, realizing that he had made his point. He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that’s already been born and one that’s still in the womb.

The crime is the same fact is that this is exactly what the state of New York has done. This is what so many states in our union are about to do as well. New York isn’t the only one and New York governor Andrew Cuomo says, faith is being questioned after he signed a bill into law that legalizes abortion up until birth for any reason at all. You see, section two of the controversial reproductive health act states that quote, an abortion may be performed by a licensed, certified or authorized practitioner within 24 weeks from the commencement of pregnancy. Or there is an absence of fetal viability or at anytime when necessary to protect a patient’s life or health. You see, that last phrase is what makes this law so incredibly evil. Of course, it’s really evil when we consider that life begins at the moment of conception, so all abortion is just as evil regardless of how far along the pregnancy is, but in an open letter to the governor in the evangelists, the official publication for the diocese of Albany, the most Reverend Edward B Scharffenberger called into question Comos Catholic faith, arguing that what the bill permits is contrary to the teachings of the Catholic faith.

He professes a, he said, although in your recent state of the state address, you cited your Catholic faith and said, we should stand with Pope Francis. Your advocacy of extreme abortion legislation is completely contrary to the teachings of our pope and our church wants. Truth is separated from fiction. The people come to realize the impact of the bill. They will be shocked to their core by that time. However, it may be too late to save the countless lives that will be lost or spare. Countless women, lifelong regret wrote Scharffenberger well Comos sign the controversial reproductive health act into law at a reception in the executive mansion immediately after legislators voted to approve it on the 46th anniversary of the 1973 roe versus Wade Supreme Court ruling. He said, today I signed the, uh, Hashtag Reproductive Health Act, codifying Roe v Wade into state law and protecting women’s reproductive rights. No matter what the federal government does.

This is a victory for all New Yorkers. Como said in a tweet on Tuesday. Of course, he doesn’t realize that should the Supreme Court, uh, make such a decision or if it’s made at the national level, it doesn’t really matter what the state law says, but I rather doubt that either of those events will happen. The New York State Catholic conference at an astute a statement after the vote Tuesday, that it was a tragic chapter in the state’s history. Many of the states, senators and assembly members who voted for this abortion expansion. Our mothers themselves who felt their child toss, turn and kick and their womb and delighted in the progress of their pregnancy. Many others as well as our governor, our fathers who held their partner’s hand as they viewed the ultrasound videos, watch their child squirm and rejoiced at the first sound of a heartbeat. Many of these same officials were themselves born into less than perfect conditions, poverty, health problems, disability, broken families all overcame these issues to rise to leadership in our state because their parents chose life for them.

It said, we think all of our partners in the 12 year long fight to stop this horrendous policy. The note continues, but what we should realize is that while the Reverend Scharffenberger may have called this, the death star and insisted that support for the bill cannot be reconciled with the values of the Catholic faith. He did not take any real action. You see, Governor Como is divorced, support, same sex marriage and abortion rights, and Como still considers himself to be a practicing Roman Catholic. But of course he wouldn’t go as far as to say he is devout according to the New York Times. Well, here’s the thing. While the Catholic bishops of New York State, uh, you know, certainly came out to denounce this legislation, they have not taken any action as Catholic bishops, they have not ordered the pastor that oversees governor Como to excommunicate the governor or to sanction him in any way, and you see that has been the traditional role of priests and bishops and the pope himself.

And yet we have not seen any such action ever taken by such leaders in the Catholic Church. The fact is that I questioned the faith of these bishops. I questioned the faith of a pastor that would not challenge the governor if he attended his church. And I don’t know if a governor Como actually attends church. He made claim to be a Roman Catholic. He made claim to have faith in Jesus Christ. But as the Apostle James says, show me what you believe by what you do. Certainly by signing this bill into law, he is actually proven the opposite. That he does not have faith in Jesus Christ. That is not my place to judge, of course, but again, the apostle james said that a person’s faith is proven by what that person does, and so this, these bishops may be calling into question the faith of governor Como, but are they actually willing to take any action?

Well, the great theologian Lady Gaga has come out against the vice president of the United States. Not that there’s any real great surprise, but what I find interesting is that lady Gaga claims to be Christian. Okay. Lady Gaga took aim at Mike Pence, who recently defended his wife, Karen Pence is new teaching position at a private school that bans lgbt employees, gay students, and the children of gay parents and say, this is from the USA Today, and that’s a false statement. See, the Christian school does not ban any students. The Christian school only requires students and teachers and employees too actually profess the faith that is carried out and practiced and believed in the Christian school. You see, there’s a difference. It’s May seem subtle to, but it is a huge difference that needs to be noted. You see, the school doesn’t discriminate against anybody that doesn’t ban anybody. All it does is asked that you agree that you will not engage in immoral sexual behavior.

If you can’t agree to that, then, hey, there are other schools. You don’t have to come here. You’re not banned. You just don’t agree with us, which is fine. Don’t agree. That’s your choice. Well, Lady Gaga says to Mike Pence, who thinks that is acceptable, that his wife works at a school that bands Lgbtq. You’re wrong. You’re the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian. Really? Okay. Well, Lady Gaga continued. I am a Christian woman and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and everybody is welcome so you can take all that disgrace. Mr Penson and look yourself in the mirror and you’ll find it right there. Now, a lot of people can pick on celebrities when they say foolish things, but here’s the deal. What does it mean to be a Christian? I mean, really, what does it mean to be a believer in Jesus Christ?

What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? A student? You see a lot of people claim to be Christians. A lot of people claim to be followers of Jesus, but the fact is that a lot of people are not, and that’s not a judgment on my part. If we claim that we believe in the Lord, if we claim to be followers of his teachings, well, here’s the thing. Look, I put my faith in Jesus Christ. I have accepted him as my lord and Savior, but I’m still a human being who falls short of the glory of God all the time, but the difference is I recognize when I fall short, I acknowledged that God is right and I am wrong, that I have sinned according to his word in whatever regard that I have sent. Now am I? Am I faithful? Always know.

I always. I always have to challenge myself. When I said I have to challenge my sin, I have to challenge my flesh and say, that is not right. It’s difficult to admit that I’m wrong and it’s difficult to change my direction, but that’s what’s required of me. You see, a true Christian is not defined by their sin. Their identity is not grounded in their sin, but it’s stead their sin, their humanity is something to be challenged. The flesh is to be challenged and overcome. We are to walk by the spirit and not by the flesh. Lady Gaga seems to think that being a Christian just means that you’re loving. No, she professes to be bisexual, okay, whatever, but in Christianity, that’s something that you’re not supposed to live out your supposed to reject that lifestyle, that sin, that choice. If you do not reject that choice, I understand that you still struggle with sin and understanding that you still have temptations and whatever else.

Well then by definition you’re not a Christian because you’re not submitted to the Lordship, to the leadership of the Holy Spirit and to Jesus Christ. You are not willing to be a disciple. To learn from his teachings and his word and to learn from all of the word of God from Genesis to revelation, then yes, it does include being welcoming to everybody. Everybody’s welcome and my church, but you’re going to hear the truth preached each and every Sunday from the word of God with love, not hatred, not saying that I hate you because you’re involved in this sin. No, but that sin a sin and God calls you to live a different way. It’s your choice whether or not you want to listen or not, your choice, and yet lady Gaga the media and everybody else wants to call this bigotry.

No, this has nothing to do with people’s identity. That’s their choice to identify by their sin. It’s kind of the silliest of things, so that’s their choice, but what is Christianity? What is morality? Well, God gives us the definition of our faith in Jesus Christ and God gives us the definition of morality. It is not that billionaires are immoral and it is not that every woman has a right to kill her own child because she has a right over her body, which includes the occupants of that body that she is willingly allowed to take residents there. So there was a viral sign that showed up in the state of New York. A bookstore is closed in Syracuse, New York on Wednesday because that person, the owner, John Speed, has decided that it’s an official day of mourning. The book scout on Wednesday as an official day of morning following the passing of the New York’s euphemistically named reproductive health act, a law making abortion on demand up to the moment of birth legal well, the sign says the bookstore is closed today.

It is a day of mourning in New York in honor of the thousands of babies that will die in the years to come. We shall not be collecting sales tax for this tyrannical government today. We will on other days under duress, but not today. He posted speed on his business facebook page as well as posting a sign, an outspoken Christian and advocate for the unborn speed, put a poignant sign on his stores door to inform any customers or passer by of his position closed today. The sign reads today is a day of mourning in New York state. We will not. So it says the same thing. We will not collect sales tax today for a tyrannical government that murders babies. We will resume regular business tomorrow, collecting sales tax under duress and abortion. Now. This is the attitude that we all should take as Christians, as believers in Jesus Christ.

This should be a time of mourning. That shouldn’t be a time to pray for our nation. America can be better. America has been better, and America can be better. Once again, I am a warmed by the story that Americans across the country help feed federal workers as the shutdown enters its second month. This, according to the herald courier.com, there are the workers whose jobs serve the people of the United States, but as the partial government shutdown enters its second month with no apparent end in sight, thousands of government employees are now relying on the people of the United States to help them feed their own families. It’s like one giant government breadline except for the government workers. You see, this is what humans are supposed to do for other humans. Feed the hungry, take care of those who are experiencing tough times. The outpouring of support has been widespread and creative.

High profile and grassroots for every relief kitchen opened by Jose Andres and his nonprofit world central kitchen. The celebrity chef and humanitarian reasonably said, more kitchens are coming after the first one debuted last week in Washington. There are countless small markets and programs. Restaurants and chefs of course had been giving away free or discounted food, including a cruise line in Florida that has open a pair of boats to federal workers so they can dig into a free lunch buffet, but now farmer’s markets, food banks and other organizations are finding ways to help workers who haven’t received a paycheck since December and this. This is what we need to understand, that America is still a good and generous nation. Yes, we have many false, yes, we have many shortcomings and yes, we are making some very poor choices in certain areas, but we can. We can seek something better.

We can actually take care of those that are in need and this is something that every Christian and non Christian can well be a part of. Be Part of the solution instead of part of the problem. Pray for our nation. Pray for your particular state and pray that the Lord will turn these things around. The Bible gives us in James Chapter one, verse five, this verse, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him. James Chapter one, verse five. You see, we need wisdom. During these days. We need the wisdom of God, but how many of us are willing to ask? We should humble ourselves and pray, be willing to turn from our wicked ways and God will hear us from heaven. He will bless us with the wisdom to turn this around and to do it with unity and love. I’m pastor Paul Holt, and this has been the Bible factor. May the Lord Richly bless you. Indeed, as you seek first the Kingdom of God in his righteousness. God bless you.
