As we witnessed the events and Venezuela are we actually giving a little insight into the four horsemen of the apocalypse, the last days in particular, the breaking of the third seal and the black horse who brings economic destruction. Could there be a correlation between what we see in Revelation chapter six and what is happening in Venezuela? I’m pastor Paul Holt, and this is the Bible factor. This is one of the more interesting subject matters that we can get into when Christians steady eschatology or the last days, the events that are described not only in the book of Revelation but in the book of Daniel and the book of Ezekiel and several other prophetic sections of scripture. Could we be witnessing what causes the destruction brought about by the black horse? The fact is that what we find in Revelation chapter six, particularly starting in verse five, is “that when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, come and see.

So I looked and behold a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand and I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying a quart of wheat for a Denarius and three quarts of barley for a denarius and do not harm the oil and the wine.”

Now, it’s interesting to note that a Denarius, a in the time that John recorded his vision, well, a Denarius was a day’s wage, and really a day’s wage would only buy really a day’s worth of food, a quart of wheat or three quarts of barley. Well, that’s not a whole lot of food, and depending on the size of your family, that’s not going to stretch very far. What does this have to do with Venezuela? Well, more than you might realize, because when we. When we take a look at what’s happening in Venezuela, we see a power structure that is flailing and changing.

Now, are we going to see a good change in Venezuela as all eyes are on one Gallardos? Next step, after the popular Venezuelan opposition leader declared he was temple temporarily assuming presidential powers at a high stakes bid to unseat Nicolas Maduro, who’s powerful, loyal list went on the offensive Thursday and support of the embattled leader. Well, according to the Associated Press, Guido has disappeared from view since swearing before tens of thousands of cheering supporters to uphold the constitution and read Venezuela of Maduro’s dictatorship and his whereabouts remains shrouded in mystery. Now, the reason for this, the reason that this opposition leader is in hiding is because he knows that Maduro is out for well, almost literally his head, he’s looking to put an in physically to his opposition, so then his first public comment says, declaring himself interim president and speaking from an undisclosed location, Gallardo told univision he would consider granting amnesty to maduro and his allies if they helped him return Venezuela to a democracy.

That we have to understand that a democracy is not what’s needed here. See a democracy sounds good because we have taught that America is built on a democracy, but there are good forms of democracy and not so good forms of democracy because ultimately democracy’s always break down to well that dictatorship, you see the people, and I think this is an issue with human beings in particular anyway. Human beings always have a tendency, especially when they are not submitted to the authority of God to have this need to submit to the authority of one leader in particular. This is why dictatorships are so common around the world, particularly in South America, in places like Cuba, uh, in places even like China and Russia. The reason that a socialist country, uh, will ultimately break down into a dictatorship is not because there is no democracy there. See, democracy is just the will of the people.

Well, people don’t always know what’s best for them and the godless, godless leadership know this. And so they want to impose their will upon the people and tell the people what is best for them. We have seen this throughout human history. Before the flood, there were great leaders that were able to round the people up, get them all to follow one leader in the book of Genesis, it describes these hunters of men, and when we get to a post flood situation, one of the greatest hunters of men was in fact a the leader that brought everyone together to build the tower of Babel. Now we have to realize that God told human beings to spread, to multiply, and to fill the entire earth, and Satan has been hard at work to stop that natural progress. What does this have to do with Venezuela? Well, again, we are seeing in microcosm what happens on the world stage as we move away from Christianity, move away from a godly influence and give ourselves over to our selfish passions, namely the flesh.

You see Venezuela back in the 19 eighties was a very, very wealthy country and it remained wealthy on into the nineties as Hugo Chavez took power. You see, what started to happen in Venezuela is there was a polarization of the two party system that they had operating in that country. Most people don’t realize that there was a huge moral component to this as well. There were people who were very conservative who wanted to keep traditional values in place and there was another group of people and it split rather evenly who wanted to well wanted to squash the influence of conservatives and be allowed to live as they pleased. Does that sound familiar somehow? Well, that’s exactly what we’re experiencing in the United States, so when we examined Venezuela, we’re actually looking into the future not only of the United States but of the world. You see, Venezuela was in fact a very wealthy country and as millions flee the disaster that is in Venezuela a, according to an article in the invest investors business daily wrote written in September of last year, the government is in full denial and that’s the same thing we see happening today.

The United Nations estimates that at least two point 3 million people have departed Venezuela since 2015 when it’s current economic and political crisis began. That’s roughly equal to about seven percent of the country’s population. Now Venezuela is Vice President Delsey Rodriguez denies any exodus calling the mass immigration of the oil rich nations, uh, citizens, normal and blaming and all onlies by enemy countries trying to provoke a military intervention. Now, what we should realize is that it’s a direct result of socialism. It’s a direct result of a economic system built on envy and greed. You see, when we say that it’s not right that other people have a wealth and that, that wealth is immoral and therefore should be taken or confiscated and redistributed well. We’re playing right into one of the seven deadly sins. We’re playing right into human nature without Jesus Christ, and this is the last phase of human hopelessness.

When socialism fails, has it inevitably, does people leave? According to the aid organization, a courageous half of Venezuela’s children suffer from malnutrition. A report from Amnesty International painted a bleak picture. Millions of people have been forced to leave everything behind and walk for days on end to escape massive human rights violations in Venezuela, including arbitrary arrest, extra judicial executions, torture and violations of their right to food amhealth. Increasingly stain is not an option, and in a heartrending piece written in the New York Times, the headline says it all, as Venezuela collapsed, children are dying of hunger, which takes us back to revelation chapter six and the black horse you see the black horse, we’ve always thought maybe it was some exotic plague that destroys the earth. And, uh, there’s a huge famine that takes away the food from planet earth so that a day is wage buys a day’s worth of food.

But the Bible doesn’t say that when you read it, all it says is I looked and behold a black horse, and he was sat on it, had a pair of scales in his hand, pair of scales in his hand. What could scales represent? Scales could represent commerce, the buying and the selling. And that might make sense when we look at a quart of wheat for a Denarius or three quarts of barley for a Denarius. That might make sense, but could it also represent a unnatural equality forced upon people by a dictator, by a government? You see, when we look at the, uh, when we look at the conqueror of the first seal says, now I saw when the lamb opened one of the seals and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder come and see, and I looked and behold a white horse, and he sat on it, had a bow and a crown was given to him and he went out conquering.

And to conquer that, a lot of people will equate this horsemen, this person riding the white horse, they will say this is the antichrist, but we don’t have necessarily the evidence to back that up. A lot of people have theorized who this horseman is, but have you ever considered that he dictatorship is needed in order to bring about the suffering that we see on planet earth. When you compare the conqueror of the first seal and you consider the third seal on the black horse, well, you know, we missed a seal. There are four seals. The four horsemen of the apocalypse, right? What about the second seal? Well, verse three says, when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, come and see another horse, fiery red went out and it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth and that people should kill one another and there was given to him a great sword, Huh?

All right, so we have a great dictator, a great conqueror, if you will. We also have conflict on the earth piece being taken away, and then we have scarcity on the earth. Brought about by the one on the black horse. Well, there is a fourth horseman says, when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, come and see. So I looked and behold a pale horse and the name of him has sat on. It was death and hades followed with him and the power was given to them over a fourth of the earth to kill with the sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. Okay. Now you may be thinking I’m a. I’m kind of stretching here, but really when you consider the four horsemen of the apocalypse together, what do we see really?

We see dictatorships, tyrannical governments, war, famine, and an economic system that actually takes away the ability to purchase food freedom. This sounds almost exactly like what we’re reading about in Venezuela. You see Hugo Chavez sees power in 1999 through his so called a a varian revolution. And after years of being propped up by oil prices, it turned sour under Chavis and success, or former bus driver turned dictator Nicolas Maduro. Now the country suffers from a host of economic maladies and get this ranging from 83,000 percent inflation, uh, lack of food and basic necessities on store shelves, a worthless currency and double digit unemployment. Besides, despite having the largest oil reserves on planet earth, it’s essentially bankrupt. The economy strength by 16 percent in 2016, 14 percent in 2017. And, uh, when the numbers are tallied, it looks like 15 percent or more in 2018, since 2013 more than half the economy has simply disappeared.

And I would remind you that Venezuela was one of the wealthiest countries in South America, one of the strongest economies by far around the world. What destroyed it will see a lot of people only get a piece of the puzzle. We blame socialism. And that’s certainly true. Socialism has a great part to play in it, but understand too, you have to take away liberty. You have to take away freedom. You certainly have to get rid of a constitutional government. It was only a few years ago that Hugo Chavez and his successor Maduro, Nicolas Maduro, uh, actually destroyed the United States. Costs are not the United States, the Venezuelan Constitution. They actually destroyed their form of government in favor of a dictatorship. So how’s that working out for them? Not so well. And the fact is, it’s exactly what people want to have happen here in the United States and ultimately around the earth. I mean, Alexandria, Kazia Cortez, and, you know, the reason we bring her up is because the media props her up as a voice for the Democrat Party.

Uh, we find out that many people would vote for her, a majority would vote for her to be president of the United States if she were old enough to run. And the fact is that there are many people that embraced this kind of poor thinking. Now, she says that she does not want a Venezuelan form of socialism, but she wants the socialism of Sweden. Now, senator Lindsey Graham disagrees and is now accusing her of wanting Americans to live as Venezuelans Socialists on twitter. Graham trolled of Cortez for recent comments on Martin Luther King Jr day where she claimed that climate change would end the world in 12 years. She said that millennials and people, you know, gen x or Gen z and all those, all these folks that will come after us or looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years. If we don’t address climate change.

And your biggest issue is how are we gonna pay for it? Because you’re Cortez said, well, Graham tweeted in response to all ocs craziness. Let’s bury the hatchet and enjoy the next 12 years because they’re going to be our last right. Well then Graham went onto accused the freshman congresswoman of wanting to make America like Venezuela. Even worse, she said, or Graham says, even worse news at AOC and her new socialist colleagues seem hell bent on making sure that our last 12 years will be spent as Venezuelan socialist, not Americans, a gram openly pondered. If Americans would reject a Alexandria cosmic Cortez’s agenda if it were on the ballot in 20 slash 20 a. He said, question. Is it possible a representative Kazuyo Cortez could be wrong about the demise of the planet in 12 years and the American people reject her socialist agenda in 20 slash 20?

Asked. Well, she’s previously stated that she wants to model her socialist programs after Sweden, not Venezuela. During an interview on 60 minutes, Anderson Cooper asked her, when people hear the word socialism, they think Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela. Is that what you have in mind? Well, she replied, of course not. What we have in mind and what of my and my, my policies most closely resemble is what we see in the UK, in Norway and Finland and in Sweden. Well as noted by investors business daily for nausea, Cortez to make America like Sweden, she would have to have abandoned several of her Marxist principles that she already holds dear. You see two of the countries she cites as role models have partial or a partially privatized their social security programs to save taxpayers money and provide better retirements for their citizens. Sweden partially privatized it’s social security program.

In the mid 19 nineties, Britain began a partially privatizing it’s public pension program in the late 19 fifties in both countries, workers can invest a portion of their payroll taxes in individual private accounts. As far as minimum wage goes over Kazia Cortez, it’s proposed a $15 federal minimum wage along with federal jobs guarantees. Well, surprisingly neither. Neither Sweden or Norway has any minimum wage laws. Finland is 83 percent lower than the current us minimum and the UK is minimum wage is higher than the US, but it’s nowhere near the $15 minimum wage. She and other leftist Democrats are pushing and none of these countries would dream of something as radical as a federal jobs guarantee. The report continued. Finland in fact just abandoned it’s experiment in a related idea called universal basic income because of its cost and its adverse economic impacts. So if a of Cortez were in charge, she would hike the federal corporate tax rate from 21 percent, which it was just lower two to 28 percent even though the UK is only 19 percent, followed by Finland at 20 and Sweden at 22.

You see, ultimately the godless progressive’s wants to destroy the economy just as they want to destroy human life in the womb and they want to destroy it outside the womb. Here in New Mexico, they’re proposing a, a, a suicide law that allows people to kill themselves, not only if they’re sick, but also if they’re just tired of living. And this is happening across the United States and around the world. More and more governments are considering taking these kinds of death actions. The pro death movement continues to spread, but this is exactly what the Bible predicts. This is the kind of attitude that scripture tells us must occur as we approach the last days. You see, Satan comes to steal, kill, and to destroy. So as we see those who reject the lord and embrace godless philosophies, they were, they reject God and their thinking, and they’re turned over to a debased mind, most easily easy to consider destroying economies in the name of redistributing wealth, in the name of making things fair, the fact is they are playing on the envy and the greed of human beings to be able to steal what belongs to others.

Not to lift people up, but to bring everyone down, to make them equal in their poverty and in their misery, which is exactly what the enemy wants for the human race. See, the enemy doesn’t have a problem with killing children in the womb. You’ll notice that the enemy is also in favor of giving a murderer’s a pass. You see, we heard Andrew Como the so called Catholic governor of New York claim that it’s a human right to kill babies in the womb, but that it is morally wrong according to his Catholic upbringing, to allow murderers to suffer the death penalty. So it’s okay to give a lethal injection to a baby still in the womb. So you have to understand, as Matt Walsh pointed out in a great article today, uh, he pointed out that in the third trimester, a woman still has to birth the child that she carries.

The question is, does she birthed that child alive or dead? So what happens in an a third trimester abortion, a lethal injection is given to the child and it is a very painful lethal injection. And the baby has to be given time to die over the course of many hours. And even as much as a day before that child is brought back in and the mother birth a dead baby. And this is the epitome of evil. If that doesn’t sound like one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, I don’t know, what does you see? The enemy wants to destroy the wealth and prosperity that can be gained when we work within an ethical system such as capitalism. The enemy wants to destroy wealth to the enemy also wants to destroy life. The fact is that this is the goal and people who reject the Lord naturally find themselves in alignment with the devil himself, and this is what we should be repenting of.

This is what we must be aware of because the scripture is clear that we should be willing to forgive and to bring people back into the light. We shouldn’t be able to tell all of these folks that we don’t have to head to the destruction of the poor horsemen of the apocalypse and the breaking of the seals and you can escape those end of days issues by receiving Jesus Christ and stepping into the light. Give up on that bad thinking because you’re only looking not only at the destruction of others but at your own destruction as well. I’m Pastor Paul Holt and I would just encourage you to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness. All these other things will be added to you. May God richly bless you. Indeed, as you do that, God bless you.
