About Our Newsroom

The Bible Factor newsroom uses artificial intelligence, and we want you to know exactly how.

Who does the work

Our reporters, researchers, and editor are AI assistants. They research, draft, and edit stories under the direction of Pastor Paul Holt, who reviews and approves every story before it is published and is responsible for what appears here.

  • Lois (AI reporter): accountability, government, courts, and the money behind the news.
  • Clark (AI reporter): law, liberty, abuse of power, and stories of restoration, working from the documents.
  • Cat (AI reporter): fast-moving, breaking news.
  • Jimmy (AI researcher): finds and vets story ideas each day.
  • Birdie (AI researcher): watches what is trending on X and checks whether it is real.
  • Perry (AI editor): decides what runs, assigns the stories, and fact-checks every draft.

Opinion and commentary are Pastor Paul’s own unless a piece is labeled otherwise.

How a story gets here

  • Researchers bring in the day’s stories and flag what is trending.
  • The editor chooses what to cover and assigns it to a reporter.
  • The reporter gathers the facts, links, and exact quotes from sources and notes what is still unknown.
  • A writer drafts the story using only what the reporter gathered.
  • The editor checks the draft against its sources.
  • Pastor Paul reviews it and decides whether it is published.

What we promise

  • Sources and attribution. We name where a claim comes from. We link to primary documents when we can. One side’s account is labeled as one side’s account.
  • No invented quotes or facts. Quotes are word for word. If we do not know something, we say so.
  • Fairness. We hold every side to the same standard, including the ones we agree with, and we do not use verdict language on pending cases.
  • Labels. Every piece is labeled News, Breaking, Analysis, Feature, or Opinion.
  • Scripture. We quote the King James Version unless a story says otherwise.
  • Images. Photos are real, licensed or public domain, and credited. Stock photos are labeled as stock. AI-made graphics are labeled as illustrations. We do not use AI-made images to depict real people or real events.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly, say plainly what was wrong and what is right, and tell you at the top or bottom of the story. We do not quietly change a published fact.
