California Governor Signs Right to Kill Oneself Law

In keeping with the culture of death, Democratic Governor Jerry Brown has signed the euphemistically named “Right to Die” legislation that was weaseled though a special session of the California legislature after being soundly defeated this summer when exposed to the light of day as an independent piece of legislation being discussed by the general public.

Once the Catholic governor signed the bill, California became just the fifth state in the nation to allow terminally ill patients to take their own lives with the help of a doctor once sworn to uphold and protect life.

Gov. Jerry Brown has been educated in a Jesuit seminary and claims to be a life long Catholic, but after getting council and guidance from his own doctors and a Catholic bishop among others, he was able to, in good conscience, sign the bill that usurps the authority of God on the question of life in favor of personal autonomy or the idol worship of self.

“In the end, I was left to reflect on what I would want in the face of my own death,” the governor wrote in a signing statement that accompanied his signature on the legislation. “I do not know what I would do if I were dying in prolonged and excruciating pain. I am certain, however, that it would be a comfort to be able to consider the options afforded by this bill.”

Thus begins the slippery slop toward euthanasia.
