The world was once again shocked by Islamic terror as Brussels, the heart of the European Union was attacked in a two prong coordinated set of explosions at its airport and subway station on Tuesday.
While the numbers are still being updated, currently 34 people have been killed and more than a hundred men, women and children have been injured by Islamic Syrian migrants and as usual the debate begins anew as to the culpability of Islam.
It is understandable that the Muslim community wants to distance itself from these and other acts committed in the name of Islam and so terms like radical Islam and violent extremists are bandied about to minimize the role of the so-called religion of peace.
Yet, we do not see the Muslim community dealing with the violent people and teachings that are responsible for the Brussels attacks on Tuesday or the Paris attacks four months before. Instead we see bad house guests as more than a million refugees are allowed to cross into Europe assaulting and stealing from their host neighbors.
Whatever your thoughts about immigration might be, I think we can all agree that the new arrivals should behave themselves and chastise those that don’t. The same goes for Islam and terrorism, the Imams and other leaders in Islam should come down as hard as possible on the Islamic State because it took credit for the attacks by issuing fatwas calling for justice and obedience to the peaceful teachings of Islam, whatever those may be.
Speaking of leaders, President Obama took 51 seconds from his prepared remarks in Cuba to address the attacks with his usual passionate disdain for the terrorists that had no association with any religion, as they were extremists and then Mr. Obama went to a baseball game with Castro and did the wave.
I am not cleaver enough to make these things up, folks.
There is a war in the world that no one in the west is willing to acknowledge. We are not fighting radical Islam, we are in fact fighting Islam but it is more than that. Brussels is the capitol of the European Union and the EU is weak economically, militarily and worst of all spiritually.
Now a wave as big as the ocean itself is overtaking the EU just like the book of Revelation described and the attacks with its explosions are just the result of the waves hitting the shore. Hold on as the next few years will bring change like never before, setting the stage for the final showdown.
